Brandon Smith, CPA, joined Mauldin & Jenkins in 2008 after studying Accounting and Information Systems at Georgia Southern University. As a Partner based in the Atlanta office and the Advisory Practice Leader, he works with organizations throughout the Southeast to help deliver a blend of capacity building, management consulting, and traditional accounting services.

Brandon’s experience includes evaluating internal control, cybersecurity, and risk management policies and practices. He helps organizations implement and expand established frameworks to meet operations, reporting, and compliance objectives. Brandon is enthusiastic about transformative technologies and the impact they have on our clients and the accounting profession.

Brent Ullrich, CPA, is a Partner with Mauldin & Jenkins. In 2008, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting and received his Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University in 2010. 

Brent has over 15 years of experience in many areas of taxation and industries, most notably in healthcare, real estate, private equity, technology and professional services, with business sizes ranging from closely held business to multi-national publicly traded companies. 

Brent also serves as the Firm’s Tax Strategy and Research Leader, which offers technical guidance and identifies planning opportunities for the firm to support clients on complex issues across a range of technical tax areas.
